WE HAVE UNTIL JANUARY 20TH TO PUBLISH #ERANOW TO DEFEND ABORTION & LGBTQ+ RIGHTS.

TAKE ACTION WITH US.

OUR ELECTION STATEMENT

Abortion was on the ballot in ten states this election. Seven initiatives passed, protecting 8.2 million people of reproductive age. Arizona and Missouri overturned abortion bans, restoring access for 1.2 million people. New York enshrined abortion rights and broad protections in its constitution, creating the most expansive state-level ERA in the U.S.

However, setbacks remain. Pro-abortion measures in Florida, Nebraska, and South Dakota failed, affecting 4.6 million people under restrictive bans. Florida’s initiative, with 57% support, fell short of the 60% needed to overturn its ban. South Dakota upheld its existing ban, and Nebraska narrowly missed overturning its 12-week ban.

We mourn for lives affected and lost due to these failures. As Donald Trump prepares to return to the White House, reproductive rights and LGBTQ+ safety face severe threats.

The ERA is essential to defend our freedoms. President Biden must publish the ERA now. We have 74 days to organize and push for action.

We demand the Democratic Presidential nominee call for the immediate publication of the Equal Rights Amendment and an immediate, permanent ceasefire in Palestine. We will deliver this letter in-person at the DNC in Chicago. Sign on by midnight on August 19th to make sure your voice is represented.

THE LATEST FROM YFP

The Young Feminist Party is the political home for young feminists in the United States. We are building a powerful movement of young people, from communities and campuses across the country, to finalize the Equal Rights Amendment (ERA) and advance gender justice for all.

We started out in 2019 as a handful of teenagers in Virginia working to secure the 38th and final state ratification needed to publish the ERA. Since Virginia’s ratification in 2020, we have grown into a nationwide movement of over 14,000 young people organizing for gender justice in our communities and Constitution. Through direct actions, legislative advocacy, electoral organizing, and judicial advocacy, The Young Feminist Party recruits, trains, and mobilizes young people to advance feminist policies–whether that’s strengthening our school’s Title IX policies or amending our nation’s most foundational document.

Become a member today to access party-wide resources, communication channels, and movement-building opportunities. Membership is free. Events and actions are open to everyone, regardless of membership status, but if you are down with the movement and want to take sustained action with us, become an official member of the Young Feminist Party.
